Mr. Fogleman comes from a background of finance as VP of an S&L where he advanced to Exec-VP of Regional Development and Special Assets Management in the late 1970's-80's. He also opened, and was President of the first for-profit SBA 504 CDC in the USA. This is where Mr. Fogleman was first exposed to Franchising while underwriting commercial loans. His Franchise experience includes multi-unit ownership in the hospitality industry starting in 1978, multi-unit automotive industry in the 80's, QSR (Quick Serve Restaurant) in the 90's, and a Regional Territory home improvement franchise in early 2000. He has also worked as a Marketing Director for a Financial Advisory Firm specializing in municipal bonds, advisor to nursing home industry, consultant to a major hospitality firm, and an advisor assisting in the development of a private prison firm. His major was in finance, with a minor in business. He also holds an Innkeeper's Degree from Holiday Inn University. His real value is his tremendous exposure to so many different industries and to so many different situations. After both winning and losing in the Franchise industry, (which in itself is an education), Mr. Fogleman entered the Franchise Advisory arena as an independent adviser to individual candidates in mid-2000. His main focus is to advise individuals seeking a Franchise which meets their skills, experience, resources, passions, goals, and income expectations. He is also an Advisor to Franchisors (and companies wanting to convert to Franchising).
Mr. Fogleman has 35 years of experience in the Franchise arena and is well known for his innovative means for achieving the goals of his clients. He has served on several boards of companies and has a wide experience in many industries. He has a vast number of contacts in the many industries, and he has teamed up with many experts in the field of Franchising. His team of contacts includes areas of expertise in; legal needs of clients from inception to expansion, regional territory development/sales & pricing, manuals & training protocol, personality strength/skills profiling, finance options, social media, mobile marketing, and web promotions.
Under Mr. Fogleman's leadership, My Franchise Man has achieved some amazing results with candidates seeking to change their lives and find a new career. The unique characteristic he holds is he always becomes close friends with his candidates. Even after his candidates have purchased their franchise, Mr. Fogleman always continues to stay in touch with anyone he helps and he is often called upon by those new franchisees to give them advice. His specialty is to see the situation from "outside the box" and develop the best recommendations for his candidates. Networking is his forte, he has never met a stranger, and he looks forward to meeting new people.
Mr. Fogleman lives in Lafayette, Louisiana with his wife, Ms. Karen. They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Mr. Fogleman enjoys fishing, all boating sports, Bible Study, and is also a Certified Land-Sea Pilot.
